Baby S Blessing

I did a little photo shoot with Baby S last night and I scrapped my favorite one. This picture makes my heart sing everytime I see it. It really shows who our Baby S is in the inside.

Baby S update

Baby Sam is getting so big! She doesn't like to take naps in her bed but she does like to sleep in her swing, without it moving. I just thought she was so sweet right then. (she wears more blue than the average baby girl...big brother hand me downs)

Baby S took her first bath in her tub (she has been showering with her Daddy since she got home, but Mommy really wanted to scrub her this time) She really liked it she didn't really do a whole lot, but the lack of screaming was a sign.

I liked this one cause it looked like she was going to deck someone if they got too close.

One of the things that I have wanted to blog about is that S is smiling (mostly at Matt) and giggling (mostly at me)now. It is so fun to have her play with us a little bit! This is the best capture of a smile so far...it's a little blurry and the smile is starting to fade, but it's fun to capture it a little.

Creativity at work

While Matt was working on the handrail the boys were playing outside in what was left of the snow. I looked out the window and this is what I saw. I laughed so hard at how much fun they were having with scraps. They called their sculpture their forest and several of the neighbors commented on it.

A new hand rail

Here is the pictures that I promised of the new hand rail. It turned out great. I wanted to have square spindles so Matt humored me. We are thinking about adding a little detail with some horizontal pieces between the spindles, but we will post if that happens. For now here is Matt working late at night, and the finished product.

Another benefit that came from getting the rail done is that now we have a coat closet. We have already filled it with coats, hats, gloves, shoes and a diaper bag. It's so so so nice to have place for these things now!

A lot to blog about

It seems that the more I have to blog about the less I blog... so here are a few things in words and pictures will come soon.
For anyone that has been to our house you know we haven't had a hand rail since we moved in. It's been dangerous, but we have lived with it...well not anymore. Matt took his Saturday and got'er done. It looks great (pictures soon to follow of the rail and the sculpture the boys made with the scraps)
Baby S is gorgeous and is growing so fast! Her eyes continue to get bluer and I wish I could get the cool silver ring that shows up around her pupil in the light. (if you have read Host it's just like that)
OK...I know there is more but I am drawing a blank, so hopefully I will remember when I look at the pictures.

For all the Digital Scrapbookers in my life

A shout out to all the digital scrapbookers that I know and love. I wanted to let you know that my favorite digital scrapbooking company is giving free online classes. It makes it really convenient cause you get to sit (or hide from the kids) at home and learn some really cool techniques for Photoshop Elements that are just for digital scrapbooking. I love the teacher. We have become friends through the forum for Digital Scrapbook Memories and she is an amazing teacher that explains things better than I have had anyone else explain them with Photoshop. I wanted to give everyone the heads up in enough time to make sure they can make sure their hubbies have the kids for those couple of hours so you can really pay attention :). Here is the link to the post on the forum for more information and to get signed up for the webinar.
PS most of the techniques translate very easily to the full version of Photoshop (that's what I have) but if you have any questions you can always go on to the forum for DSM and there is always someone there that can answer your questions!
